Japanese Professor Toyohisa Fujita from University of Tokyo Appointed as Part-Time Professor


On the morning of June 1, 2015, a ceremony was held in Room A203, the auditorium of the Engineering Building in Beijing University of Chemical Technology appointing Professor Toyohisa Fujita from the University of Tokyo as part-time professor. The ceremony was attended by Chen Biaohua, Vice President of BUCT and other leaders of the university.

 In Vice President Chen's speech, on behalf of the university, he extended warm welcome to Prof. Fujita for taking the position of part-time professor at BUCT. Mr. Chen spoke highly of Prof. Fujita's research achievements, and expressed his wish that Prof. Fujita and the university could carry out in-depth co-operation in the fields of recycling technology and nanotechnology, mentor students in collaboration, complement and co-operate with each other and achieve win-win outcomes. In reply, Prof. Fujita expressed his thanks for the honour of being appointed to this position, and promised to further strengthen exchange and co-operation with the university, and make his own contribution to the development of Beijing University of Chemical Technology.

At the conclusion of the appointment ceremony, Prof. Toyohisa Fujita delivered a report titled “environmental technology related on water, soil, air and recycling” to teachers and students of the university. After his presentation, in a lively and warm atmosphere, Prof. Fujita patiently answered questions from teachers and students present.
