On May 30, 2015 “Wushu in Beijing” Martial Arts Competition for International Students was held at Beijing Language and Culture University. One hundred and fourteen athletes of 36 countries and regions from 16 universities in Beijing participated in the competition. Organised jointly by the Beijing Municipal Committee of Communist Youth League, China Youth Center for International Exchange, and Federation of University Sports of Beijing, the competition aims to promote Chinese martial arts culture and mutual exchange among international students studying at universities in Beijing.

After fierce competition, the delegation of international students in
Beijing University of Chemical Technology, led by Yu Yue and directed by Hao Keyong from International Exchanges and Cooperation Department, won first prizes in men's Taiji boxing, men's traditional boxing and men's primary martial arts equipment, two second prizes in men's freestyle boxing, as well as awards for online popularity and outstanding organisation.

Leaders and teachers of Beijing University of Chemical Technology put in a lot of effort towards this year's martial arts competition for international students. Though these amateur student athletes have only been trained for more than two months prior to the competition, they were able to achieve such success thanks to their love for Chinese martial arts and daily hard work.
